Ever since Covid began, I have needed to wear a mask in order to get to sleep. (and to stay asleep) For some reason, I am much more sensitive to light and can't fall asleep unless I'm in total darkness. I have found that masks like this one from FACEMOON with eye pockets work best for me. They allow your eyes to blink as they always do while sleeping. As with other masks I've owned, it's important to wash the mask before using it the first time. You want to remove any residue that may be leftover from the manufacturing process. All you have to do is gently wash it by hand with laundry soap and let it air dry. Be aware that you should not twist or wring the mask, just gently rub the soap on and rinse it under warm (not hot) water. It takes about a day before the mask is dry for use. The mask feels like the area around the eyes is filled with memory foam beads. It's very comfortable and does not interfere with your blinking. There is a single adjustable strap that fits around your head to hold the mask in place as you sleep. I have had zero issues with the mask slipping out of place. The seal around your eyes blocks 100% of the light, so it is very easy to fall asleep and stay that way until morning. This is one of the most effective sleep masks I've ever used. And at less than $10, it is also a great value.

I love that it’s basically full blackout - the other day I woke up without an alarm at 8:00AM and I couldn’t have told you if it was 5AM or 10AM based on the light because their was none. I’ve tried two other mask styles before and they don’t compare to this. The mask stays in place all night, is super comfortable, and it doesn’t get hot since it only covers my face and not the sides of my head like another style I’ve tried. The quality also appears to be excellent, but time will tell on that. There are two minor negatives to this mask and neither one warrants removing the star: 1st is that it’s BIG; doesn’t just cover my eyes, but my whole forehead, too. 2nd is that the elastic area is small. I have to have it on the tightest setting and as the elastic stretches over time, there won’t be a way for me to tighten it any further without taking out some stitching and re-sewing it. Thankfully, this isn’t a problem for me. I would absolutely recommend this sleep mask to anyone inquiring!
